Our Mission
The Saba Film Organization, which is a community based, independent and nonprofit organization, notes inequity in the Afghan society and the core mandate of this organization is to raise the awareness of Afghan women to their rights and their leverage as active members of the society. The Saba Film Organization is focused on empowering women by eradication of domestic violence, sexual violence, sexual harassment, violence in public places, burning, suicide, trafficking of women and girls and other harmful practices.
Unfortunately, due to the three decades of war in Afghanistan, a vast majority of Afghan women remain illiterate. Some of these women have become the victims of social and cultural exploitation.
In order to develop our country with better infrastructure and superstructure, we need to promote and maintain democracy, justice, equality, and women’s rights.
The goals and strategies of the Saba Film Organization encompass women’s capacity to actively participate in the community while working on their self-esteem.
Passing laws to enable human rights to be monitored are the critical aspects of its strategies.
